I’m Chasing A Dream
I've never been one to count the last few in a twenty
I'm not one to count the impersonation of money
I've got two sides and my personalities are many
I've been called popular, I'd rather ask for my music to be trendy
Live life to the fullest, how full is it?
Life is a target and sometimes we miss it
The number one position is mine and that's my digit
And now it's my turn
I've left the fire go burn
A Scholar in the Art of Hip-hop
I've told myself, I promised I'd learn
Chasing the missing target
Buying all of your dreams at a market
But I do it for a difference, for next the decade
Back then when rappers were rapping for the next Escalade
I want to do it for the sport
Not for politics or court
For a change, to be strange
For the game to rearrange
For a chance to be in creative
And realize your own range
I learnt not to fear a man or a human being
But the scary thoughts from imagination enter and I start seeing
My kindness and mistakes
I'll do whatever it takes
To better what ever my mind makes
I've got to deal with realities of life first
Deal with my emotion, deal with all the lies
But let me tell you real eyes, realize real lies
And you can tell when a real friend cries
And they help you get up and your rise
And you willing to break yourself for their own prize
My prize is there, my eyes are on it
I'd close them up for God
The devil will never open the bonnet
