[Verse 1]
In an all black mosaic, the poetry prosaic
Jupiter decrees one white tile, archaic
This heart possessed by a clouded inertia
Searching through dust for the owl of Minerva
Straggle in the crags of nebuchadnezzar’s nebula
Babbling with Babylon and Avalon, etc
Pegasi stepping by to mesmerize nightly
Exercise my mind, try to energize the psyche
You’re my Daphne, I fell madly
In love with everything you ever did
Have me, take me, touch me, can you even hear me
How do I maintain when it’s a ghost I hold dearly
I'm telescoping every comet afar
Lacing every bursting song with a scar
Bidding every god and friend au revoir
Until we kiss in the sky, we’ll be wandering stars
