Into It. Over It.
Southern California in the ’80s
I don't need to hear your life story
I just want to talk about Southern California in the Eighties
In the years before you and I were born
Silk-Screened onto t-shirts and sold
I'm thinking we're the ones that got old
You'll take your time
And safely arrive to forty-eight of the fifty U.S. states
Sharing space, in someone else's backseat for now
Sharing spaces for now
You see we've payed a deposit
And I've waited all day
For an unfamiliar face to have something good to say
But I don't need to hear your life story
I just want to talk about Southern California in the Eighties
So what would it take for you to walk away
And throw aluminum cans into a clear plastic bag?
It's hot outside
You could save our lives
