It's always a pleasure to get the chance to do a little bit of my ol' buddy, Lester Flatt
And as Lester used to say, goodness gracious, it's good to be here with ya
Have you ever done it for Lester?
Oh I used to do it for Lester all the time
He loved it, he loved it
I've got an old guitar that, that Lester gave me in 1975
And he used to come up to me backstage or something, you know, and I'd have this guitar on
And he'd slip up behind me and say, "Lester, how long ya had that old guitar?"
I'd say "Oh I've had it about 15 years"
He'd laugh and slap his leg
