Carnival - Audio Excerpt 2
You know, when people come to my shows, they know what they're walking into. They know that that might happen. And I think that's the whole excitement. It's this flirt with danger. It's this flirt with "what if", or "maybe this", or "what's gonna happen". It's not like I'm going "he's gonna do this tonight, and it's gonna be really outrageous". They're saying "I wonder if he's gonna do this? I wonder if he's gonna... I wonder what he's gonna...", you know? And I think people like that dangerous aspect, the real side of it.
I hate people in the world. What would changе if I went on the stage? What makеs me want to like the people out there more than I'm gonna like the people out there? So I just look at the whole audience as my enemy. Go off on 'em, attack 'em, take 'em out, fuck 'em up. And then what's left at the end, they're the allies. Some unsuspecting person might come to the show and leave with a broken nose, or... or what? You never know.
