Alan Watts
Sing my name to seraphim // and see that i feel isolated.
[Intro: Nomrah & Paola Barbra]
Watch me fly into the dark (into the dark)
Just let me drown (sing my name)
Sing my name to your god
Let him watch me fall
As I go away and take my flight
Upon the moon

[Chorus]
Another lonely night befalls again
Catch me now if you’re a friend
Send a note to those who care
Say “I feel isolated here”
So sing my name to seraphim
And hold on tight with a careful grip
Another night all on my own
On the pink moon with a graceful tone

[Verse 1]
The sound of you reverbs in my head
I hope I can get out of it again
The constellations tell me I am done
From burning insidе of the sun
I sit on my moon, where did I go wrong?
Sеlf-isolation only lasts so long
Before the walls start caving in
And becomes the grave that I shall lie down in
[Chorus]
Another lonely night befalls again
Catch me now if you’re a friend
Send a note to those who care
Say “I feel isolated here”
So sing my name to seraphim
And hold on tight with a careful grip
Another night all on my own
On the pink moon with a graceful tone

[Verse 2]
My own existence makes me feel so alone
Until the voices play me all of their tones
My badge is fading, my authority’s gone
Do with it what you want, my identity’s yours
Sinking lower as the days pass
Ignoring the calls from those I talked last
It’s nothing serious, I’m just falling apart
At the thought of it all, let this note be my call

[Chorus]
Another lonely night befalls again (befalls again)
Catch me now if you’re a friend (don’t let me fall)
Send a note to those who care (tell me you care)
Say “I feel isolated here”
So sing my name to seraphim
And hold on tight with a careful grip (hold on tight to me)
Another night all on my own
On the pink moon with a graceful tone
[Outro: DJ Azul]
And welcome back to the 67.3 Indigo
And if you feelin’ blue, you already
We’re about to wrap this thing up tonight y’all, and uh
It’s been a very special treat
And I wanna give a very special thanks to the young king hailing from Alabama
And he goes by the name of Nomrah
And he blessed us with that world premiere of “the pink moon” and uh
I must say man, track after track was just
Him just giving us his truth and uh
And if you can live life just, you know, just being truthful
You won’t have no damn regrets, y’all
So uh I think that’s… he gave us little nuggets of wisdom right there
On every, damn near every track
So y’all go support him, man, ya know
I must say, if you want some of that local home-grown
We got the Zephyr, the Purple-Apple Tree
AND that Spotlight & The Rose
And uh, y’all be safe out here in these streets
Wherever y’all, you know, go to and from
And uh I’m ‘bout to get ready to sign off
One more other thing
If you in the left lane and goin’ the speed limit
Get out the way
And it’s been a pleasure, and I’m your boy
DJ Azul!
[Monologue 1: Alan Watts]
This is one of the symptoms of our phony sense of identity
Of our phony feeling that we are something lonely
Locked up in a bag of skin confronted with a world…
An external, alien, foreign world that is not “me”
Now according to certain of these great ancient philosophies, like Buddhism…
This sensation of being a separate lonely individual is a hallucination
It’s a hallucination brought about by various causes…
The way we are brought up being the chief of them of course
I remember, as a child, and you probably have very similar memories to mind
That all our parents were desperately interested in identifying us
And don’t you remember that sometimes you went out and played with other children
And there was someone in the group of other children you admired and looked up to
And you came home imitating the mannerisms of that other child?
And your mother said to you “Johnny, Johnny that’s not you, that’s Peter”
And you felt a little bit ashamed
Because somehow, you had let her down
She wanted you to be “you”, her child
And not Mrs. Jones’ child, Peter
And so, in many ways, we’re all taught this
For example, the main thing that we’re all taught in childhood
Is that you must do that which will only be appreciated if you do it voluntarily
“A dutiful child must love its mother”
“But now I don’t want you to do it because I say so
But because you really want to”
Or “you must be free”
See, this comes into politics
“Everybody most vote”
You see? Imagine you are members of a democracy
And you “must” be members of a democracy
See? You’re ordered to
It’s crazy
So, when you are told who you are
And that you “must” be free
Furthermore, that you must survive and must go on living
And that becomes a kind of compulsion
You get mixed up
It’s very simple, of course you get mixed up
If you think you “must” do something
Which will only be the thing required of you if you do it freely
These are the sort of influences then…
That cause human beings all over the world to feel isolated
To feel isolated
Human beings all over the world
Feel isolated
Human beings
Feel isolated
You get mixed up
Human beings get mixed up
You feel isolated
I feel isolated
In the words of the poet Haussmann
“I, a stranger and afraid, in a world I never made”
Human beings feel isolated
I
Feel isolated
I
Feel isolated
I feel isolated

[Monologue 2: Nomrah]
“If I could only figure out how to do all this without my body”
Alan Watts
His last words
If we too can separate our lives
Our consciousness
Our being
Our “selves”
From our body
And live not defined by the body that we are “in”
Or rather, the body that we “are”
Then we can, in turn, learn to live governed not by the external stimuli our body receives
But rather by the internal validation that comes from knowing one’s own self-worth
One’s power
One’s capabilities
And one’s values
We are not “in” our bodies
The idea of “me” and “my body” are actually one in the same
Therefore it is not the body that defines us
Or us that define the body
But rather one that accentuates the other
By working in tandem
To create the image of “me” that appears in our consciousness when we think of who we “are”
And on the days that we retreat into our minds
Afraid of the world around us
Feeling that the external must go away
As we run inward and embrace the internal
Our brain
Our pink moon
Where we sit upon on our pink moon and watch through the window of our eyes
Just like the little man in front of the control panel
As we recall the times where behaving like someone else caused us to be scolded
Because we weren’t being ourselves
When we truly don’t even know who “I” refers to
We can then begin to see
That the pink moon
Or rather
The separation of mind and body
Soul and husk
Little man and control panel
Is nothing more than a defense mechanism that we use to escape the external world
When it becomes simply too much to handle
And once we realize this
We can begin to learn
Grow, and develop
And learn that the mind and body are not separate
But rather two sides of the same coin
And should be treated as such
So… if you would…
Watch me fly away to the moon
And I will never come back
‘Cuz I’m… I’m happier there anyways
So please, respectfully, leave me alone
But if you miss me
Sing my name to seraphim, and see that I feel isolated
