Imagine Dragons
Next to Me (Recorded in Paris)

[Verse 1]
Now there's something about the way that you walked into my living room
You're casually and confident, you're lookin' at the mess I am
But still you, still you want me
Now stress lines and cigarettes, politics, and deficits
Late bills and overages, we're screamin' and hollerin'
Still you, still you want me

[Chorus]
Oh, I always let you down
You're shattered on the ground
But still, I find you there
Next to me
Oh, all the stupid things I do
You see, I'm far from good, it's true
But still, I find you
Next to me

[Verse 2]
There's something about the way that you always see the pretty view
You overlook the mud and mess, you're always lookin' effortless
Still you, still you want me
You see, I've got no innocence, faith ain't no privilege
I am a deck of cards, vice or a game of hearts
Still you, still you want me
[Chorus]
Oh, I always let you down
You're shattered on the ground
But still, I find you there
Next to me
Oh, all the stupid things I do
You see, I'm far from good, it's true
But still, I find you
Next to me

[Bridge]
So thank you for taking a chance on me
I know it isn't easy
But I hope to be worth it
I said thank you for taking a chance on me
I know it isn't easy
But I hope to be worth it

[Chorus]
Oh, I always let you down
You're shattered on the ground
But still, I find you there
Next to me
Oh, all the stupid things I do
You see, I'm far from good, it's true
But still, I find you
Next to me
[Spoken: Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon]
Thank you so much, thank you
Why don't we do- let's do Don't Forget Me
And then, just to stay in the mood and then-
Kewl
Wait did you say 'cute' or 'cool' (Cool) Oh, cool
I thought you said cute, I liked that
It's how Californians say 'cool'
"Ah, Kewl"
I'm never more aware of how terrible American accents are than when I'm in France
Every time we come here I find myself listening to how I say things and I'm like, mmm
I just- I mean, I'm sure you hear this all the time but the French accent is the most beautiful in the world
And I think the American accent is close to the bottom (Huh?)
It's like, German, American, (What do you mean?)
