Driving along Onion Avenue
The munchies were turning my stomach blue
Fast food galore
There must have been fifty or more
And all with a small window drive-thru

Plastic signs with names so bold
Keeping score of the amount that they'd sold
All the goodbyes
Those burgers and fries
Shakes and soft drinks ice-cold

A single, a double
Or should I get cheese?
Give me a burger with lots of grease!
While making my choice
From this box came a voice
"Can I take your order, please?"

Burgers by the light of the salad bar
Chocolate chip cookies they keep in a cookie jar
There's piping hot coffee free down at the diner
Giving my stomach a brand new liner

Wendy's, Crystal, Burger King I see
Do any of you have a hot one for me?
Oh, Sandal's, oh, JoJo's, oh, Ronnie's Big Mac
All of them just another hamburger shack

The fast food joints are helter-skelter
Each one of them just another french fry shelter
I tried a Big Boy
But just another decoy
Fast food needs
Some hamburger helper!
