Where did I come from?
I ask you
Wondering about all the stars in the sky which I couldn't see

He gazed at me with his happy smile
Then he said:

"Love brought you here one day
And the most beautiful star in the sky
Is the bright smile that you love
Even in the dream

Then one day
You follow your dream
If you ever find yourself lost
Just come back here with your parents"

I asked my father
Love is such a pain
But why do people still hold onto it?
I ask my father
Why doesn't love last forever?
Like what people always say?

He gazed at me with his happy smile
Then he said:
"Go find and keep a star for yourself
Don't worry about the world
Love is giving yourself another chance to be sad
If you're sad, just cry, then stand up

Then one day
In this empty space
There's a shoulder you can cry on
Which will stay by your side through up and down"

I have gone through so much
Those stories that mom used to tell
Those places that dad used to go
I have known how to feel the pain

I ask my father
In our life, how many times can we live as ourselves?
I'm silent in order to keep the tears from falling
The sky above, the faraway star
Is big enough to find the answer for myself
