Before the evening is over I will have made a complete and total fool of myself, and I hope you get a kick out of watching it. One of my first records that I made--I mean, that I recorded--back in 1927, I think it was. Went like this:

You came back to, and forgot the words, and seen the changе, you fool

Honey, who am I talking to? You lied when you said you loved me
You s- I had no cause to doubt you
When I think what- rrrrr-really go on hearing your lies
Then to go on living without you
Now the stage is bare and I'm standing there without any hair, I dunno
If you don't come back to me, ...aw, the heck with it

Is your heart filled pain? Can I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?
