San Francisco Nights
I followed the skyline, ever so red
It got me back home and tucked into bed
The haze of the morning beamed all along
As I heard the early morning bluebird song
I sat with myself, endlessly still
As I stared at the subliminal water bill
I threw my life, blew up my home
And moved to San Francisco for more nights alone
That's when I found someone who looked just like you
They felt just like me, nothing but blue
I thought there was something for us to see
But her illness got to her and she left me
I cried and I cried sleepless nights most occurred
Every night I would always think of her
Sat by myself, with my mind to roam
Those were the San Francisco nights alone
