Jacob’s Well
(John 4 : 1 -26 Jesus and the Samaritan Woman dialogue)
Jesus: Give me a drink of water
Samaritan Woman: You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan. So How can you ask me for a drink?
Jesus: If you only knew what God gives and who it is that is asking you for a drink, you would ask him and he would have given you a life-giving water
Samaritan Woman: Sir, you don't have a bucket and the well is deep. Where would you get that life-giving water? It was our ancestor Jacob who gave us this well. He and his children and his flocks all drank from it...
Your love defies our logic
More than plutonic, its agape
Not being hyperbolic
Clearly optic
That it's so harmonic
That you are hands down the top pick
To the chronic
-cally lonely
It's ironic
That You sought us
For your will is so tectionic
Your children profit
And may they only thirst to know you personally
And be transformed internally
And unite in our diversity
When we come to know you more intimately
Because deeply into me you see
Your water fills eternally
Til I am all you made me to be
(John 4 : 1 -26 Jesus and the Samaritan Woman dialogue)
Samaritan Woman: You don't claim to be greater than Jacob do you?
Jesus: Those who drink this water will get thirsty again. But those who drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again. The water that i will give them will become in them a spring which will provide them of life-giving water and give them eternal life
Samaritan Woman: Sir, give me that water then I will never be thirsty again nor will I have to come here to draw water
Jesus: Go and call your husband and come back
Samaritan Woman: I dont have a husband...
Those with eyes let them see it
Those with ears let them hear it
For only humble heart worship in the Truth and Spirit (repeat through John 4 dialouge)
For only humble heart worship in the Truth and Spirit
For you do not leave us in the dark
Therefore no better way to start
Than offend our minds to free our hearts
Open our eyes to know in part
That it just goes to show
If you’d ask, you'd overflow
From whom is there to ask
Well little did she know
That you are more than just a prophet
You are God himself, incarnate
And only you can truly quench the thirst of a harlot (repeat this and then first hook)
(John 4: 1 -26 Jesus and the Samaritan Woman dialogue)
Jesus: You are right when you say you don't have a husband. You have been married to five men, and the man you live with now is not really your husband. You have told me the truth
Samaritan Woman: I see you are a prophet Sir. My Samaritan ancestors worshipped God on this mountain but you Jews say that Jerusalem is where we should worship God
Jesus: Believe me woman. The time will come when people will not worship the Father either on this mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaraitans do not really know whom you worship but we Jews know whom we worship..
Confess your Love, you decree it
Your resurrection, I believe it
And may I live in such a way that others may receive it
(John 4: 1 -26 Jesus and the Samaritan Woman dialogue)
When I’m in need on your correction
Your cross I look to for affection
Your Grace offers protection
From all shame and persecution
You pursue my heart in spite
Of all my moral compromise
It's all a part of your design
To complete your work in me divine
For if you knit me in the womb
For what fire can consume
May i not be a whitewashed tomb
For one day you’ll return soon
Confess your Love, you decree it
Your resurrection, I believe it
And may I live in such a way that other may receive it (repeat till end)
(John 4 : 1 -26 Jesus and the Samaritan Woman dialogue)
Jesus: Because it is from the Jews that Salvation comes and the time is coming... and is already here when by the power of God's Spirit people will worship the Father as He really is offering the true worship that He wants. God is Spirit and only by the Power of His Spirit can people worship Him as He really is
Samaritan Woman: I know that the Messiah will come and when He comes He wil tell us everything
Jesus: I am He....
